What's in a Team?
What do you think when you hear the word 'Team'?
Teams are everywhere - at work, at school, at home, at play.
Teams are made up of people that have different skills but a common goal. Since the members of a team have different skills, they enhance each other and help accomplish the goal with much less effort than it would take if one individual tackles that goal alone. Think of your favorite sports team. You can't easily score a goal without the help of your teammates.
Teams don't just form to exist. They need a goal, or a reason or objective, for existing. This is also sometimes known as a charter. Many effective teams also have norms - a set of informal rules. Norms help with scheduling and accountability.
